Equine Grief Facilitation

Service Description

Working through grief in the presence of horses allows participants to connect to their feelings in an authentic, nonjudgmental manner. Loss encompasses many aspects of life: death, trauma, job, friendship.... We offer clients the opportunity to express their pain, release guilt, heal wounds, explore the depth of their grief, integrate the pain and love of loss, and unearth gifts buried in every burden. Horses live in the present and react to what we are experiencing in the moment, thus providing feedback to our emotions. According to certified equine-assisted psychotherapist Kathleen Choe, their (horses') presence reduces our anxiety, offers nonjudgment, encourages self-awareness, and models mindfulness. While I design the session, our engagement with the horses takes clients to places of the heart that only my equine partners can aptly address. The cost for an individual-hour session is 75.00, for two clients attending together 100.00, and for three clients attending together 120.00 for 75 minutes.
