Recognizing Grief and Gratitude
Navigating the holiday season
Service Description
As the holiday season approaches, those experiencing grief often face conflicting feelings: the joy of the season and the need to mask mourning. Spirit Ranch JSP offers CCSD employees the opportunity to “unmask” in the authentic, nonjudgmental presence of our equine partners. From 2:00-3:30 on Sunday, November 16, we invite you to join colleagues for a time of recognizing grief and gratitude as we navigate the upcoming holidays. During our time, we will have introductions, a grounding activity, an equine safety review, and engage with our equine partners to understand our encounters with grief. Our group is limited to ten participants, as well as a wait list. Please reach out via text to Pam with any questions you may have, and we can set a time to talk (303) 521-7009. Important Notes: -Bring a signed liability waiver (I have extras if you forget!). -Prepare for exposure to hay and cat/dog/horse dander. -Please dress warmly--it's always cooler at the barn! -If you choose, bring an item to recognize your grief (eg, shirt, picture, spoken memory). -Coffee and hot chocolate are provided; bring water.
