Youth Beginner Western Riding

Service Description

At Spirit Ranch JSP, we help young riders build a relationship with the horse while learning the basics of equine safety and riding. Clients are asked to commit to six sessions. Sessions begin with bareback pad riding so participants develop a sense of balance and "feel" of the horse. Then, we move to a Western saddle at session 4. We start with kids as young as five. For our five-year-old participants, sessions are 50 minutes; for clients six and older, sessions are one hour. Please add two dollars to cover Venmo and credit card fees. Clients paying by check or cash pay 60.00. As of January 1, 2026, the lesson price is 60.00/hour for kids 6 and up and for a 50-minute lesson for kids five and younger.
